Zenith offers the blue dialed version of the Stratos Flyback on a steel metal bracelet or a textured blue rubber strap. Honestly, on the strap it looks nice but in my opinion is just “too blue.” The solid blue dial, bezel, and strap are blue overkill. That is the trouble with blue watches, it is easy to go “over blue.” On the steel bracelet it is another story. The blue dial and bezel complement the rest of the case very nicely. The bracelet on the Stratos tapers somewhat and features a neat three-link design with a polished center link. I like how it features a gapless construction between the outer links and that the outside of the links are polished. The bracelet is closed with a butterfly style deployant.
While not radically new in any way, this lovely blue version of the Stratos adds to an already excellent collection of high-end sport watches with in-house made movements. Or perhaps you prefer the 2013 Zenith Stratos Rainbow? The Zenith El Primero Stratos Flyback is ref. 03.2067.405/51.R514 and is priced at 7,600 Swiss Francs. zenith-watches.com
