In collaboration with the prestigious and historic Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux, aBlogtoWatch invites our friends and fans to an evening event in New York City on Thursday July 25th, 2013. We will celebrate summer and timepieces starting at the Girard-Perregaux boutique on Madison Avenue, to be followed next door at Club Macanudo. aBlogtoWatch’s Ariel Adams will be on hand for the event, along with John Biggs (HourTime co-host) and other other aBlogtoWatch team members.
This is a chance to meet other watch lovers and experience summer ‘Girard-Perregaux style’ with watches, seafood, and Rum (sponsored by Diplomatico). Girard-Perregaux will have their newest timepieces on hand including their new Hawk Collection, 1966 Integrated Chrono and Haute Horologerie pieces such as their famed Minute Repeater.
The event will begin at 6pm in the Girard-Perregaux boutique located at 701 Madison Avenue (between 62nd and 63rd Street). At 8pm we will move over to Club Macanudo for additional libations, available food, and cigars (Club Macanudo is a friendly environment for non-cigar smokers as well). We anticipate the event will go from 6pm – 10pm.
For us, summertime is meant for relaxation so dress casually. Club Macanudo does however keep a strict dress code so dress as casually as you like but be aware that shorts, flip-flops, and sneakers are not allowed in the club. This isn’t your typical stuffy watch get-together, and we will have fun, aBlogtoWatch style. Don’t be shy, bring a cool watch that will be appreciated (any brand) by your peers and mark your calendars for July 25th at Girard-Perregaux.
RSVP by July 22nd please as space is very limited. Only confirmed RSVPs will be put on the guest list, so please make a note of that. If we fill up then you should still be able to join us at Club Macanudo. Contact [email protected] to attend.
