Each October, Wixon Jewelers hosts its much-anticipated Watch Fair, an event where watch enthusiasts have the opportunity to shop expanded selections and limited edition models that are otherwise difficult to see in person. This year’s Watch Fair will display expanded collections of new and rare timepieces from Patek Philippe, Parmigiani Fleurier, Officine Panerai, Jaeger LeCoultre, and Tudor, to name a few.
Do you have a watch that you no longer wear? Bring in the timepiece that you don’t care for anymore, and Wixon Jewelers will take your trade in towards the watch of your dreams. Plus, for these two days only, they will pay your sales tax.
The two-day event is this Friday and Saturday (October 24 & 25, 2014) but here’s a special advanced preview into a few of the cool pieces that will be at the Wixon Jewelers Watch Fair, exclusively for aBlogtoWatch readers.
Parmigiani Fleurier Ovale Tourbillon
True to its namesake, the oval-shaped Parmigiani Fleurier Ovale Tourbillon is as captivating as it is beautiful. While the oval shape is often seen as feminine, Parmigiani did an amazing job at designing this piece with a masculine appeal. One of the few 30-second tourbillons available today, the Parmigiani Ovale Tourbillon boasts incredible accuracy through the PF501 movement. With a limited production of 30 pieces, this may be your only shot to see this marvel of watchmaking close up!
Wixon Jewelers will also have some of Parmigiani Fleurier’s iconic minute repeaters, including the Parmigiani Kalpa Resonance and the Parmigiani Toric Westminster.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre à Chronographe
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre à Chronographe is an impressive watch that takes the chronograph function to the next level with a concept coined by Jaeger-LeCoultre as “Dual Wing.” The movement utilizes two independent power reserves to separate power going to the chronograph functions from the timekeeping function. This concept reduces lag and strain, enabling the watch to keep precise time to a sixth of a second. The movement can be seen through two skeletonized sections of the lower dial, which adds a technical style to the design, while still remaining true to a timeless, classic look.
There will be several unique and rare pieces from Jaeger-LeCoultre at the Wixon Jewelers Watch Fair including the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Unique Travel Time and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual.
Patek Philippe Ref. 4936J
This one is for the ladies! Patek Philippe’s Ref. 4936 not only features a jaw-dropping design, but it is also packed with functionality. Sparkling with 170 diamonds set into the case and crown, this ladies’ Annual Calendar draws your eye in to look even closer. Protected inside the 37mm yellow gold case, a white mother of pearl dial is accented with gold Roman numerals, which tie the watch together beautifully.
The Patek Philippe 4936J is a part of an impressive collection of Patek Philippe timepieces that will be at the Watch Fair, including new models like the Patek Philippe Ref. 5270G.
Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Titanio (PAM569)
While it has a vintage look, the Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 Titanio is one of Panerai’s newest models announced this year and is a unique edition of 1,000 watches. While it may look similar to other Panerai Submersible watches, the PAM569 is a left-handed orientation, which moves the iconic crown guard to the left side of the case for more comfortable wear. This orientation also swaps position of the small-seconds dial and date aperture on the Clous de Paris decorated dial. The Panerai PAM569 is a perfect diver’s watch with its 47mm size, rotating bezel, and water resistance of 300 meters.
In addition to the Panerai PAM569, Wixon Jewelers will have expanded collections of Panerai timepieces at the Watch Fair including more rare watches and some of Panerai’s newest pieces.
