As you may have noticed, we are posting our giveaway a day earlier than usual. Not to worry, though, as both the September and October giveaways will be conducted as usual.
For October 2019, the monthly giveaway here on aBlogtoWatch is for an Ocean Crawler Dream Diver just introduced with a new orange dial. Ocean Crawler prides itself in creating highly resilient watches that can withstand just about anything thrown at them on land or underwater, resistant to an impact of 6,000G and water resistant to 600M. The original Dream Diver was made in only 300 pieces, and this new batch will be the same in three colors. There are only going to be 100 Ocean Crawler Dream Divers done in this orange dial.
The Ocean Crawler Dream Diver is done in a steel case measuring 44mm-wide and 15.5mm-thick, with a lug-to-lug measurement of 50mm. As with any serious dive watch, legibility is as important as water resistance for the Dream Diver. The sapphire crystal is liberally applied with anti-reflective coating, while the hands and indices contrast clearly against the orange dial. Additionally, there is ample lume applied to the hands and indices, as well as the steel unidirectional bezel.
As with all Ocean Crawler watches, the Dream Diver passes 10 drop tests, including the high impact hammer shock test. This is done to prove the 6,000G impact resistance of the watch, which is hundreds of times more than that experienced in a car crash.
The Ocean Crawler Dream Diver is outfitted with the Sellita SW200 movement. It operates at 28,800 vph, has a 38-hour power reserve, and has a hacking and quick date feature. The SW200 movement is accurate to +/-5 seconds per day. For additional peace of mind, Ocean Crawler provides a five-year warranty to repair or replace any manufacturing defects the movement experiences.
The Ocean Crawler Dream Diver will come on a custom waterproof canvas strap and a leather strap as well. This is one of only 100 orange dial models being produced and will retail for $999.
