It’s been hard to watch the bushfire crisis unfolding in Australia this month, but as you might already know, the global watch community isn’t one to sit idly by. To support the ongoing firefighting efforts and various wildlife rescue and rehabilitation programs, our friends at Melbourne-based Time & Tide Watches are leading the charge, having rallied nearly 20 luxury watch brands who have donated watches for a special auction, with all the proceeds being donated to five different charities: two rural fire services groups (the Country Fire Authority in Victoria and the Rural Fire Service of New South Wales), two wildlife rescue groups (Wildlife Victoria and the World Wildlife Fund), and the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund, which was created specifically for the hard-hit southeast region of Victoria.
Launched on the online auction platform Invaluable earlier this week, each lot in Watch & Act! has been listed without reserve and will run until 9am AEST on Friday the 31st of January. Some of the watches, like this bronze Zenith Pilot and this Hublot Classic Fusion, are entirely unique pieces created exclusively for the auction. Other lots in the auction are simply extremely rare editions that have long been sold out and can now be obtained in singularity to benefit a great cause.
Right now, through the conclusion of the auction, you can view all 17 lots and place your bid right here. You can also get the latest updates on the auction itself via our friends at timeandtidewatches.com.
