PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH G-SHOCK
When the predecessor of this watch — the GBDH1000 — was released in 2020, it was Casio’s most advanced fitness device. It was the first G-Shock to feature the brand’s 5-Sensor System with a pressure sensor for altitude and barometric readings, magnetic sensor for compass bearings, thermo sensor, accelerometer to detect movement for step count, and, for the first time in a G-Shock, an optical sensor for heart rate monitoring.
With the new GBDH2000, Casio adds a sixth sensor to the mix: a gyroscope that can detect swim stroke and when a swimmer turns a lap in a pool. There is a host of other data that can also be measured, such as blood oxygen, that allows for spot measurements to manage daily health and adjust exercise load. Along with its new integrated GPS antenna, the GBDH2000 provides best-of-class activity tracking capability, all available on demand at the press of a button.
The key to fitness lies in the details — success is just a matter of incremental steps taken consistently toward one’s goals. It’s in this arena that the GBDH2000 truly shines, with the ability to deep-dive into important day-to-day metrics such as training readiness via cardio load, sleep tracking and recovery information, and a comprehensive activity log including step count, calorie expenditure, and overall physical movement. All of this information provides a holistic view of health and wellbeing that is crucial to understanding individual performance and where personal limits are found — and surpassed.
In addition to the built-in GPS, six onboard sensors keep track of your activity so you have a comprehensive overview of your health at all times.

Thermo sensor for ambient temperature
Accelerometer for step counting
Optical sensor for heart rate measurement
Gyroscope for swimming stroke and lap count
The GBDH2000 is meant for multi-sport use, so no matter the endeavor, the watch can easily keep up with your body’s every move. All seasons and situations are welcome, both indoors and out. A G-Shock is nothing without its trademark toughness, and the
G-Shock MOVE GBDH2000 handles the most rugged settings with unflappable ease, whether a grueling cardio gym session or the dusty crags of the mountain bike trails snaking through Angeles National Forest in Southern California.
In addition to gym workouts and biking, the GBDH2000 also tracks walking, running, trail running, pool swimming, and open-water swimming. Real-time information is exceptionally readable, thanks to the Memory-in-Pixel (MiP) watch display, and full activity logs can be viewed in detail through the companion Bluetooth-connected Casio Watches smartphone app.
Even with its rich feature set, Casio was able to make this version of the G-Shock MOVE noticeably more wearable than its predecessor. At 63 grams, the GBDH2000 is nearly 40% lighter than the GBDH1000. Through the use of bio-based resins made from renewable organic materials, the watch is able to reduce its environmental impact without sacrificing durability. The dual-layer frame and carbon-reinforced resin caseback provides additional protection of the optical heart sensor and charging port, and the watch offers 20 bar of water resistance to withstand even the most demanding environments.
Additionally, the case width has been reduced by 2.4 mm, as well as total thickness by 1 mm. These dimensions may seem minuscule on paper, but the effect is noticeable as the GBDH2000 wears uncharacteristically light for a G-Shock. A flexible resin strap in combination with the gentle curvature of the case keeps the watch comfortably snug to the wrist, no matter the activity.
There are no shortcuts in fitness, no substitutes for hard work and consistency.
But wellness is a journey of knowing where you started, acknowledging where you’re at, and mapping out where you want to go.
And as fulfilling as it is to reach your goals, it is only part of the adventure — the joy of movement is the true reward.
