The upper layer presents a subtle contrast in surfaces thanks to its matte-black finish with printed white minute markers. Meanwhile, the hour markers are cut out from this layer to reveal the Super-LumiNova BGW9 underneath. Inside the B2 watch is a Miyota 9039 movement, a premium Japanese workhorse that beats away at a frequency of 4Hz/28,800 bph and offers 42 hours of power reserve. Water resistance is a sturdy 10 ATM, and the case of the B2 sports a large knurled crown for easy time setting and operation.
Each B2 watch is assembled in Hong Kong by a company that was formed in partnership with a reputable Swiss watch manufacturer, with all final inspections occurring at J&Berg’s headquarters in Finland. This arrangement gives J&Berg access to the best tools and processes for making high-quality timepieces. The first batch of B2 watches will be an order of 300 pieces, with 100 pieces allocated to each colorway. This will not be a limited-edition model, but availability may vary due to the measured approach J&Berg is taking with its inventory. As a new brand, it is eschewing any crowdfunding and will instead be releasing batches according to demand.
