Founded in 1976, Swiss watch brand
Raymond Weil prides itself on being an independent, third-generation, family-owned and operated company. Its aim is to offer luxury watches built with renowned Swiss quality that represent excellent value, as well. Raymond Weil watches are hand-assembled and must pass more than 350 strict quality control checks before being shipped.
It’s easy to see by looking at its timepieces that Raymond Weil offers contemporary and timeless products. Beyond continuing to perform reliably for generations, its watches will remain in style for years to come. What you might not know is that the brand also has music infused in its DNA. Through sponsorship of events and venues, music icon special editions, and support of music-related charities, the brand helps to promote the arts and also receives inspiration for new products, which can be seen in the names and styles of many of its models, such as the Maestro, Tango, and Toccata lines.
With the holidays quickly approaching, it’s time to start shopping for that music lover in your life, or that watch collector who would enjoy receiving a new and stylish piece for their collection. With that in mind, we have assembled a list of some of our favorite Raymond Weil timepieces.
To Wear at the Office: Freelancer Men’s Automatic Chronograph
While an increasing number of people are working from home, many of us still get dressed and head to an office. Wherever someone is working from, it helps to stay focused if they are dressed for the part. If someone in your life falls into this category, the Freelancer Men’s Automatic Chronograph is a good option. At 42mm, it’s an appropriate size for a variety of wrists. Black chronograph subdials and a racy tachymeter scale give it a sporting element. The monochrome dial and brown leather strap keep the look restrained and will match with any office attire. Day and date displays eliminate the need to check a phone or computer when planning schedules. A sapphire crystal with a dual-sided anti-reflective coating, as well as broad hands and Super-LumiNova markings, provide great legibility in any situation. Finishing off the package, a sapphire caseback provides a window to the RW5200 movement (elaboré grade Sellita SW500), providing 48 hours of power reserve. Reference 7732-STC-65201 pictured here retails for
$2,695. To learn more about the Raymond Weil Freelancer Men’s Automatic Chronograph visit

For A Contemporary Look: The Freelancer RW1212 Skeleton
Does that special someone in your life love technology and have a fascination with everything mechanical? If so, the 42mm Freelancer RW1212 Skeleton would make a great gift. Front and back sapphire crystals give a view of all of the watch’s mechanics. Wearers can view the balance wheel beating away, and watch gears turn as time marches forward on the watch. Flip it over, and the automatic-winding rotor can be seen keeping the watch running. Without a dial blocking the view, Raymond Weil’s Calibre RW1212 (produced exclusively for the brand by Sellita) will please even seasoned watch collectors. The movement is completely skeletonized. Bridges are finished with perlage and coated in stealthy black PVD that matches the case. Despite this intricate detail, large hands with lume and a white-on-black minute track mean the watch is quite legible. A racing-style perforated leather strap will also please any gearhead. Its slim 10.6mm thickness means that it should also wear quite well for such a technical watch. For more information about the Raymond Weil Freelancer RW1212 Skeleton 2785-BKR-20000, priced at
$2,940, check out

For Formal Occasions: Freelancer Men’s Calibre RW1212 Automatic
Many watch hobbyists start out acquiring technical (or tool) watches. This often leaves a collection with a dress watch-sized hole in it. Even if they don’t dress up very often, it’s valuable to have the right piece for a special event. If this describes someone on your shopping list, the 42mm Freelancer Men’s Calibre RW1212 Automatic is worth a look. Its clean, two-hand design and mix of polished and brushed surfaces make it a watch that is subtle but with a bit of pop for that special event. It features the same case dimensions and movement as its skeletonized stablemate. A smaller section of the dial is open-worked on this model, though, exposing only the gold-colored balance wheel and the bridge support. The rest of the movement is hidden by an attractive dial featuring a Clous de Paris textured inner section. Available in a variety of colors, the blue version pictured here will pair well with a range of outfits. More information about the Raymond Weil Men’s Calibre RW1212 Automatic reference 2780-ST-50001 is provided via

$2,100.
To Wear Together: The Maestro Ladies Diamond Automatic Moon Phase and Maestro Men’s Moon Phase Automatic
Maybe both of you have a special event coming up? Get something for that person in your life, and also reward yourself. Raymond Weil’s 34mm Maestro Ladies Diamond Automatic Moon Phase and 39.5mm Maestro Men’s Moon Phase Automatic watches ensure that everyone will look their best.
With a mother of pearl dial, rose-gold PVD coating, and 62 diamonds surrounding its dial, the Maestro Ladies is a great choice as an elegant timepiece. A deep-blue alligator grained calf leather strap pairs well with the blue night sky on the moonphase display. Blued hands and a blue lacquered cap on the crown tie everything together. Calibre RW4280 (Sellita SW280-1 elaboré grade) provides 38 hours of power reserve and allows the entire watch to be less than 10mm-thick.
Raymond Weil’s offering from Maestro Moon Phase Automatic men’s collection leaves nothing on the table from the smaller version. Again, a blue alligator pattern strap pairs with blue hands and the deep blue sky in the moonphase display. Here, however, the case is larger at 39.5mm and is finished in polished stainless steel. It is also under 10mm-thick, however, meaning it will easily slip under a dress cuff. Attractive Roman numerals indicate the hours, and the dial features a beautiful array of patterns. Instead of an iridescent mother of pearl dial, it features a wave pattern at the center surrounded by concentric circles for the hour track. The same RW4280 movement powers the men’s version, as well. The Raymond Weil Maestro Men’s Moon Phase Automatic reference 2239 -STC-00659 is priced at
$1,420 and can be seen
