One year ago, Pontvs Watch Company released our first watch model, and after four successful releases, we are proud to introduce our new dive watch — The Acheron — through a Kickstarter Campaign. This watch is the result of two years of development by founders Fernando and Juan Pablo Mansilla. With this watch, we seek to offer a distinctive design inspired by the Acheron River from Greek Mythology and dive watches made in the early 1920s for the Italian Navy.

For a watch that will resist the hazards of the deep sea, we chose to CNC-machine each case in German marine bronze; due to patina, each watch will have a unique appearance, transforming with age from a red-gold color to blue and brown tones over the years. The CUSN8 Marine Bronze case is joined by a 120-click unidirectional full bronze bezel with steel bolts and a high double-domed Sapphire with inner anti-reflective coating.

The watch measures 44mm-wide, with a 51mm lug-to-lug length. It is 17mm-high (15.4mm excluding crystal) and is water resistant to 3,000M. The screw-down crown bezel, dial indices, and hands all feature  C3 Lume for the best glowing experience when diving. The movement that powers this timepiece is an ETA 2824-2 a movement, reliable and smooth with 28,800 bps.

The Acheron comes in a choice of six different colors that will be available after the end of the campaign. Kickstarter pre-orders on the Pontvs Acheron will begin with a price of $550 USD on March 25th. For more information, view the Kickstarter campaign here.
