While the collection originally debuted with a 42mm case, NOMOS has more recently created smaller versions of the Club Sport, and for its latest release of 2024, the German manufacturer has announced its most compact sports watch yet. Available with the option of three different dial colors, the NOMOS Club Sport neomatik 34 represents a scaled-down version of the brand’s signature sports model, and it offers everything that collectors love about the larger Club Sport watches in a highly versatile 34mm package.

The NOMOS Ahoi and Club Sport are both categorized as sports models; however, while the Ahoi could best be described as a sports-forward expression of the Tangente, the Club Sport is a more robust and capable version of the original NOMOS Club that turns things up a notch with a self-winding movement and additional water resistance. Including the new trio of Club Sport neomatik 34 watches, the NOMOS Club Sport lineup is now available in four different case sizes (34mm, 37mm, 39mm, and 42mm), and while the 42mm Club Sport models feature a date window at 3 o’clock, the three smaller sizes embrace a simplified time-only display, with a pair of centrally-mounted hands and a small running seconds sub-dial on the lower half of their displays. DUW 3001 is adjusted to six positions, and it is equipped with the brand’s proprietary Swing System escapement and DUW regulation system. At just 3.2mm thick, the Cal. DUW 3001 is the secret behind the Club Sport’s notably thin case profile, and its traditionally German three-quarter plate structure is adorned with perlage, Glashütte ribbing, and heat-tempered blue screws. The Club Sport neomatik 34 represents the smallest NOMOS watch yet to be powered by the Cal. DUW 3001, and it brings the practicality of a self-winding movement to an even wider range of NOMOS owners.

Although the new NOMOS Club Sport neomatik 34 watches feature the same 18mm lug width as the larger 37mm Club Sport, the proportions of their three-link stainless steel bracelets have been completely reworked to better suit their reduced dimensions. Tapering from 18mm at the lugs down to 16mm on the underside of the wrist, the bracelet for the Club Sport neomatik 34 consists of proportionally smaller links than what can be found on its larger siblings; however, it features the same style of finishing with brushed sides, high-polished centers, and a mirror-polished clasp that operates with a double push-button release. Along with having integrated quick-release springbars at the end-links, NOMOS includes an additional quick-release springbar inside the clasp, and this provides owners with easy access to the three micro-adjustment sizing holes that would normally only be accessible with a springbar tool.

The new NOMOS Club Sport neomatik 34 watches make zero sacrifices when it comes to performance and durability, although their smaller case sizes correspond with a slightly lower price than their larger siblings. At $3,060 USD when purchased with a solid caseback or $3,360 USD when buyers opt for the display-caseback configuration, the NOMOS Club Sport neomatik 34 is both the smallest and least expensive model from the current Club Sport lineup, although it still offers all of the same dive-ready levels of water resistance and the brand’s in-house automatic movement.
