Powerfully interesting, this new flagship watch for Montblanc’s Villeret arm builds on the Tourbillon Mysterious of a few years ago. The “mystery” gives way to an open dial, and the tourbillon has double cylindrical balance springs in the tourbillon. Hence the name “Montblanc Villeret Tourbillon Bi-Cylindrique.” The large tourbillon makes viewing the “double heart beat” more interesting. Why the two springs? As a means of reducing error in the regulation and thus attempting to boost accuracy. All that and it looks pretty nice.
