Now in its 7th year, Madison Avenue Watch Week has become a time-honored tradition in New York City that attracts discerning collectors and connoisseurs eager for a first look at the timepieces that premiered at Baselworld 2017 a few weeks ago. Scheduled from May 8 – 13, there will be public as well as private, invitation-only events and exhibitions. Watch collectors and connoisseurs can register to participate in events of their choosing, as well as to schedule individual appointments with participating brands.
The impressive roster of participating watch brands and retailers includes: Asprey, Chopard, David Yurman, De Beers, Djula, F.P. Journe, Georg Jensen, Hublot, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, and Panerai.
Look into the future of watchmaking at Panerai with the introduction of the Luminor Submersible 1950 BMG-Tech. Celebrate Asprey’s 235th anniversary with the new Entheus R2 timepiece collection for men and woman. Hublot and Jaeger-LeCoultre show their respective Baselworld novelties, and Chopard has also arranged to fly over their newest watches that debuted at Baselworld.
Every day of Madison Avenue Watch Week has a roster of fun and educational activities. Brian Sacawa of He Spoke Style will host a party at A. Lange & Söhne. Jaeger-LeCoultre will hold Master Classes, with limited seating. Vacheron Constantin is repeating its sold-out Children’s Watchmaking Workshop and invites guest to experience the craftsmanship of custom leather straps with a leather artisan from Jean Rousseau. And the ladies will have exquisite timepieces to appreciate as well from DeBeers and Djula.
Madison Avenue Watch Week is presented by the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID), sponsored by The Wall Street Journal and supported by the Horological Society of New York. For more information, and to request an invitation, please visit madisonavenuewatchweek.com.
