What’s the fastest, cheapest, most secure way to get a kidney from Istanbul to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, or a customized piece of electronic wizardry from Shenzen to Kuala Lumpur? Ask Mr. Al Fulan, a “path finder” consultant for the global age. Born in Egypt in 1972 and educated in the USA, Al Fulan likes to tell his clients that “the shortest route from A to B is never a straight line, always an exercise in lateral thinking.” Mr. Al Fulan discovered his vocation as a teenager, after reading “Around the world in Eighty Days” from front to back, during a strike, at a French airport.
Part of a series of character introductions followed by comic segments as part of Linde Werdelin’s “The Perfect Five” graphic novel (here in digital form).
