Japanese brand Karl-Leimon is back at it, this time expanding its successful Majesty collection. Already available in a vibrant blue, the Tokyo-based watchmaker’s Majesty series now welcomes another classic dial with the addition of lacquer black dials. Offered in both the three-hand date and open-heart models of the Majesty collection, the new lacquer dials add a sophisticated edge to the refined design. The new Karl-Leimon Majesty Lacquer Black models broaden the range and appeal of the Majesty, making it an even more attractive option for watch lovers.
The impressive case remains unchanged from previous models. Measuring a wearable 40mm and only 9.8mm thick, the watch is proportioned for a perfect fit on almost any wrist. The case uses finishing to create a dynamic wrist presence. The round bezel surrounding the cushion-shaped flat sapphire crystal offers brushing with a polished bevel. The midcase maintains a finely brushed texture, while sharp transitions give way to the refined edge chamfers. Adding further intrigue, an octagonal base between the bezel and the midcase has a brushed top and a thin polished side. With 50m of water resistance, the Majesty is ready for all your weekday activities.
The Majesty with the Lacquer Black dials will be offered on the exceptional integrated stainless steel bracelet. The tapering H-link bracelet continues the case’s finishing and angles, culminating in a branded push-button butterfly clasp. With a thin profile all the way around the wrist, the Karl-Leimon Majesty Lacquer Black models will always be comfortable and discreet. In addition, the watch is available on a blue, black, or white rubber strap with a custom tang buckle closure.
The main attraction of these new models, though, is the black lacquer dial. Instead of the radiant blue of the previous models, the dials feature an even, inky black with a subtle gloss. The Majesty Lacquer Black is available with the 3Hand Date dial or the Open Heart dial. On the former, the beautiful black dial is minimally adorned, with a trapezoidal date window perfectly framed at 6 o’clock. On the latter, that same 6 o’clock position is occupied by a ringed aperture, offering a glimpse at the beating heart of the movement within. Both models feature applied baton hour markers and matching polished hands, all of which are appointed with luminescent paint for uncompromised legibility around the clock.
The Karl-Leimon Majesty Lacquer Black models are powered by esteemed Japanese automatic Miyota 9000 series movements. For the 3HAnd, Karl-Leimon utilizes the Miyota 9015, while the Open Heart runs on the Miyota 9029. Both calibers feature ideal specs: a 42-hour power reserve, 28,800 vph, and 24 jewels, with factory accuracy of -10/+30 seconds per day. They also offer hand-winding and hacking, ensuring they will keep you on time, all the time.
The Karl-Leimon Majesty was already an exercise in balance and elegance. With the addition of these two black lacquer dials, the effect is amplified, rounding out the collection. For those looking to add a smart, well-designed timepiece, the Karl-Leimon Majesty Lacquer Black models must be considered. The Karl-Leimon Majesty 3Hands Date Lacquer Black and Open Heart Lacquer Black are both priced at $685 USD. For more information, please visit the Karl-Leimon website.
