Furthermore, the Independents 2023 auction was a fantastic success with total sales reaching over CHF 3.6 million, illustrating the growing market for independent watchmakers and creative modern watches.
Now, as the end of the year approaches, Ineichen Auctioneers has organized two more auctions to close out the celebrations. The first is the Ineichen’s 50th Anniversary auction, which will offer an excellent selection of classic and historical pieces. Some highlights of the event include incredible complications such as a Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica Gyrotourbillon (Proto 0), a Patek Philippe Grand Complication 5370P Splits Seconds Chronograph, and a Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir. There are also a great deal of fan-favorite vintage icons headed to the auction block, such as a Vacheron Constantin 222, an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” 5402, a Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800, and a rare Longines pilot’s watch made for Swissair.
During the live one-day auction, audiences will witness the launch of the second event: the Independents 2023 Part 2: Christmas Edition online auction. Like the auction earlier this year, this second installment promises an exceptional selection of the best pieces the world of independent watchmaking has to offer. Some highlights include an F.P. Journe Calendrier Black Label, a Gerald Genta Perpetual Calendar, and a platinum Voutilainen with a checkered dial. Of course, there will be many creations by the likes of MB&F, Urwerk, De Bethune, H. Moser & Cie, and other leading independents.
