NauticFish is an offshoot brand from Schaumburg watch company in Germany. The line represents aggressively styled performance diving watches at reasonable prices, and here is a brand new one at an even more reasonable price.
This black faced cult hit NauticFish dive watch features a very interesting movement that is seldom seen. It is essentially an ETA 2824-2 automatic movement with a Dubois Depraz 2020 chronograph module built on it. This is a very hardy automatic with one of the best chronograph modules adding additional functionality. Perfect such a watch. Schaumburg and NauticFIsh watches always have thick cases. Using lots of steel, and thick sapphire crystals, the NauticFish has a “deep look.” One tell-tale feature is the deep-set date, showing you how much is going on in the watch movement.
Further, this diving chronograph is one of NauticFish’s original designs, and is no longer made to my knowledge. This watch represents a good aspect of the company’s heritage.
Lots of other nice features grace this watch. It is easy to see why they have become popular with unique looks and lots of tasteful details. This particular watch originally went for almost $3,000, and is now available for about $800. A really good deal consider the watch is still new.
