There are really only a handful of watchmakers capable of producing a triple axis tourbillon, so that makes the Girard-Perregaux Tri-Axial Tourbillon timepiece part of a very select club of watches from a rather exclusive list of brands. This fact should be factored in when considering the price of such a creation. The watch also wears boldly on the wrist in its full 48mm wide case. Note the useful sapphire crystal window on the side of the case that allows you to view into the movement even more. As burly a watch as the Girard-Perregaux Tri-Axial Tourbillon is, wearing it is not at all uncomfortable. Just be careful not to hit the watch on anything…

The last highly-complex Girard-Perregaux multiple axis tourbillon watch we went hands-on with was the Tourbillon Bi-Axial in tantalum. Limited to just 12 pieces, the tantalum-cased version of the Tourbillon Bi-Axial was priced at $478,500. In comparison, the Girard-Perregaux Tri-Axial Tourbillon doesn’t have that much of a premium when you take into consideration what brands might normally charge when adding a little axis point.
