DWISS, a multi design-awarded company, has just launched its new collection on Kickstarter, offering a Swiss-made tourbillon to crowdfunding for the very first time. The collection also includes automatic (ETA) and quartz (Ronda) models. DWISS’ innovative time-telling techniques are presented in all of them. It’s is a brand founded by Rafael Miranda, a designer with more than 10 years of experience in the watchmaking industry, to create great watches and sell them at a fair price. The intention is to bring uniqueness to watch and design-lovers with pioneering time display systems, while offering a real deal.
In 2016, DWISS created its first Kickstarter campaign (the M2 project), which was funded in less than one hour. This campaign came after a sold-out limited-edition collection and the development of the first watch made of Niobium, produced exclusively for the mining company that extracts this rare metal in Brazil and a watch awarded with the IDA-International Design Award.
Now, DWISS is back to Kickstarter with a new campaign, that began on October 4, 2017 and was totally funded in just 4 minutes. The R1 project comes in two different collections called the RS1 and RC1. The RS1 is a sporty collection that uses the DWISS signature time reading system, while the RC1 is a more classic looking model, representing the hours with a centralized hour disc at 12 o’clock.
Each collection comes in three variants. At the top of the range, a 45mm limited edition (10 per model) Swiss-made Automatic Tourbillion (Concepto 8950), operating at 28,800bph, with 27 jewels, a 60-hour power reserve, and water resistance to 10 ATM. Tourbillons are among the most challenging and difficult mechanisms ever created in watchmaking history and it is the first time a Swiss-made Tourbillion is presented via crowdfunding.
The collection also presents a 45mm limited edition (199 per color) Swiss-made variant featuring a Swiss-made ETA 2824 movement with 28,800bph operation, 25 jewels, a power reserve of approximately 42 hours, and water resistance to 20 ATM.
The third variant is a 40mm limited edition (999 per model) Swiss-made dressy quartz featuring a Ronda 714-3, comprising 5 jewels, and water resistance to 10 ATM. All variants are Swiss-made limited edition timepieces with a sapphire crystal and Italian made straps.
In addition to all of these, DWISS has developed a free app available for android and iOS, where you can see the watches in 3D. It allows you to test the watch before pledging for one. Using augmented reality technology, you can virtually see the watch on your wrist. You can find a video explaining how it works here.
DWISS is all about entrepreneurship, innovation, style, quality, and good-value pricing. We would love to have you with us on this journey. Supporting us on Kickstarter, backers can acquire the new collection watches for half of the price they will be sold for later online. You can also participate in our giveaways every Sunday until the end of the campaign on November 3, 2017. For more information visit our Kickstarter page, Instagram, and our official site. dwiss.com
