Have you ever seen or even heard of a television show about watches that you found interesting? No? Well, this is about to change. Together with the online auction platform Auctionata, Ariel Adams from aBlogtoWatch has developed the first talk show about watches that is 100% live, authentic, and fun.
In the live talk show called Collecting For Tomorrow, founder and editor-in-chief of aBlogtoWatch Ariel Adams and his guests will discuss collectible modern watches, talk about timepiece appreciation, and present a selection of watches they find interesting. Unlike the boring lectures your average watch expert would give, Ariel and his guests will engage in lively conversations and discuss topics that are relevant even for viewers outside of the watch-collector premier league. As such, this show is dedicated to the community of watch enthusiasts around the world who want to get some expert advice and enjoy a good watch program at the same time.
The premiere of Collecting for Tomorrow, which you can watch online for free, will be broadcast live on Sunday, October 9, 2016, on www.auctionata.com, on the Auctionata Facebook page, as well as on the aBlogtoWatch Facebook page. In the show, Ariel will welcome special guest Dr. Sébastien Chaulmontet, Head of Innovation at Arnold & Son, Angelus, and Manufacture La Joux-Perret. They will talk about modern watches produced in the last two decades, a very interesting topic for both beginning and seasoned watch collectors. Ariel will present his personal favorites, share his expert tips on how to select collectible watches, and give advice on what to look out for. At the same time, you can bid live on the presented selection of vintage watches.
Amongst the watches they will discuss is a Breitling Chronomat GTM, Ref. AB0410-0118, from 2011 (Starting price: €3,800), a particularly collectable and handsome watch in very good condition. Moreover, they will exchange their opinions about an Anonimo Militare Chrono Automatico, Ref. 2007 (Starting price: €1,700), an Italian military watch; and an Omega Speedmaster Chronograph X33, Ref. 3291.50.00, from around 1998 (Starting price: €1,600), a particular eyecatcher given its regular dial over a digital display.
The show is split into two parts, the first starting at 12 PM EDT, during which viewers are invited to ask questions using the comment function on the Facebook Live stream. Ariel will then respond to these questions in the second part of the show starting at 3 PM EDT. While the show is running, you can bid via PC, tablet, or the “Auctionata Live” iPhone app on the watches on offer from anywhere in the world. So mark your calendars and make sure to tune in!
