With 17 international design awards, including the prestigious Red Dot Award and the GPHG Challenge Watch Prize under its belt, CIGA Design unveiled its newest generation tonneau timepiece collection, dubbed the Z Series Hunter watches. Borrowing its name from the hunter archetype, these new watches emphasize focus and precision while also celebrating adventure, exploration, and modernity.

The Z Series Hunter takes the classic tonneau shape — a watch silhouette that has been around since 1912 — and gives it a modern twist. Crafted from 316L stainless steel and coated with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) for added robustness, the construction of the Z Series Hunter octagonal tonneau cases comprise three layers, resulting in a striking combination of smooth contours and angular geometry. The cases measure 43mm side-to-side, 48mm top-to-bottom, and 12.1mm thick, and only weigh 69.8g (without the bracelet) to ensure a comfortable wearing experience.  CIGA Design offers the Z Series Hunter watch in three colorways: classic silver, modern carbon, and minimalist black.

The open-worked skeletonized dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and offers an expansive and unobstructed view of the movement at the heart of the watch. That movement, which operates at 28,800bph and supplies 40 hours of power reserve,  is the brand-new skeletonized automatic Caliber CD-07. meticulously engineered for optimal performance and appealing aesthetics. From the hollowed, drilled, and polished chamfered edges and refined glass micro-blasted satin finish to the superbly designed 120-degree anchor-shaped rotor and precision-engineered balance wheel, it’s clear that hunter-like focus was deployed to conceptualize and execute CIGA Design’s Caliber CD-07.

To ensure dial visibility in all lighting conditions, the Z Series Hunter watches benefit from luminescence on the hour, minute, and seconds hand, as well as on the 3, 9, and 12 o’clock hour markers. The all-new CIGA Design tonneau timepieces are fitted with ergonomic stainless steel bracelets with quick-release spring bars to allow for easy strap-switching when the occasion calls. The tapering of the H-link bracelet naturally contours to the wrist while the hidden double push-button clasp offers a secure and seamless fit.

The Z Series Hunter is now available for pre-order via Indiegogo with shipping estimated to begin in April 2025.
