Lucerne-based watchmaker Chronoswiss has a long history of making exquisite timepieces without compromise. Time and again, it demonstrates its ability to seamlessly blend innovation and heritage into a beautiful presence. Renowned for its regulator watches, in particular, the brand now introduces two new models to its Strike Two collection. Building on the success of the Golden Gear and H20 models, the new Chronoswiss Strike Two Terra and Chronoswiss Strike Two HIghland are imbued with the stunning beauty of the natural landscape.

The Chronoswiss Strike Two Terra and Highland models both feature the signature Chronoswiss case design. Constructed of stainless steel and comprising 17 different parts, the cases measure 40mm in diameter and just 12.7mm in height. The case evokes a classic style with a fluted bezel ring and a fluted onion crown complemented by long curved lugs that have been cut out with dramatic effect. The case is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal and offers 30m of water resistance. Each watch is paired with an embossed calfskin strap attached to the case with screws, while a rubber strap option is also made available.

In 1988, Chronoswiss introduced the first serially produced regulator wristwatch with the Régulateur, but as most know, the mechanism dates back well before that to the early 1700s. The idea behind the regulator was to put the minutes hand in focus, relegating the hour and seconds to secondary statuses. With the non-coaxial arrangement, a watchmaker could easily use the regulator timepiece as a reference for setting other watches to the minute. Of course, modern watches are set to the second, and the impressive decoration around the subsidiary seconds dial makes clear that while Chronoswiss is paying tribute to this iconic type of watch, it also is mindful of the demands of modern watch enthusiasts.

For the Strike Two Terra and Highland timepieces, Chronoswiss has looked to nature for inspiration, as it did for its tropical H20 model. The Strike Two Highland offers a mesmerizing color-shifting dial that ranges from deep green to vibrant teal, an effect achieved through advanced CVD coating and vertical satinage. Every movement transforms the dial, recalling the rolling hills and mystic moors of the Scottish Highlands. The leaf-shaped handset is finished in a rose gold tint that contrasts perfectly with the vivid dial.

The Strike Two Terra is appointed with an intricately lasered brown PVD-coated dial that embodies the raw, unyielding allure of Earth’s terrain. A perfect depiction of Earth’s natural landscapes, Chronoswiss seeks to create a profound connection to the planet, directly on the wrist. The dial is accented by blued leaf hands and blued screws securing the vertical bridges of the hour display.

Both dials are appointed with a raised chapter ring with luminescent pips at each hour, which mirrors the ring surrounding the seconds dial at 9 o’clock. Recessed without a brushed bevel in the dial, the seconds dial is meticulously hand-guilloched by Chronoswiss. At 3 o’clock, the dials feature a Roman numeral ring demarcating the hours, intersected by two vertical bridges, and reveal the hour gear and jewel. Adding further utility, the hour and minute hands are filled with luminescent material.

The Chronoswiss Strike Two watches feature a wide-open caseback with a sapphire crystal that puts the Chronoswiss Manufacture Caliber C.6000 on full display. The movement itself exemplifies the craftsmanship that goes into every Chronoswiss timepiece, with a ruthenium-coated finish, unique tungsten rotor, radial Côtes de Genève, and a skeletonized gear train. The movement itself delivers a 55-hour power reserve at 28,800 vph, ensuring the watch is always ready when you are.

Perfecting the balance between traditional design and innovative execution, the new Chronoswiss Strike Two models deliver an unrivaled example of how historic complications can be brought into the modern era. Imbued with the spirit of nature, these watches are as functional as they are stunning, providing a vibrant experience on the wrist. The Chronoswiss Strike Two Terra and Chronoswiss Strike Two Highlands are both priced at $10,800 USD and are limited to 100 pieces each. For more information, please visit the Chronoswiss website.
