Just in time for the 2024 holiday gifting season, Chopard presents a versatile lineup of stunning wristwatches: Whether for her or him, precious or rugged, intricately beautiful or highly functional, all are set to make the perfect present to a special loved one, or to yourself. From the Mille Miglia and L.U.C XPS to high-jewelry pieces from the Alpine Eagle, Happy Sport and L’Heure du Diamant collections, Chopard’s watchmaking and jewelry-making expertise are on full display.
Chopard L.U.C XPS Forest Green Watch
Originally introduced in 2006 as the brand’s extra-thin — or extra-plat, as is implied in its name — and casually elegant collection, the XP and XPS watches continue to bring elegance and lasting appeal into the spotlight. A genuinely thin, yet highly capable wristwatch is difficult to engineer; and Chopard’s first-ever in-house caliber, the Chopard 96 continues to deliver on both accounts.
The L.U.C XPS Forest Green is powered by the Calibre 96.12-L, a movement that combines its modern 4Hz frequency with an extensive 65-hour power reserve, a 22k ethical gold micro-rotor-equipped self-winding system, and a remarkably slender 3.30mm thickness. The resulting watch, all cased up, is just 7.20mm thick. Combine that with its 40mm diameter, and its extravagant proportions are sure to impress even the most dedicated watch enthusiast. The Chopard L.U.C XPS Forest Green watch (reference 168629-3001 as seen here) is priced at $11,800 USD.
Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Watch
It well and truly is time to call the Chopard Mille Miglia a classic: It has been 30 years since the brand introduced its first Mille Miglia watch. A tribute to the “World’s Most Beautiful Race,” the Mille Miglia, an annual event the brand and its petrol head Co-President, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, have been a loyal partner and sponsor since 1988. One of 2024’s Mille Miglia watch novelties is this Classic Chronograph, with a fan-favorite panda dial officially called “La Gara” — the Italian word for race — topped by a new “glass box” sapphire crystal.
New for the Mille Miglia is that it is now crafted from Chopard’s exclusive Lucent Steel™, a brilliantly white and lustrous alloy achieved in part by using at least 80% recycled steel. The resulting clarity and sheen of the alloy renders Lucent Steel Chopard watches appreciably outstanding. This reference is powered by the A322-11-based, COSC-certified chronograph caliber that operates at 4Hz through an extended, 54-hour power reserve and boasts bespoke finishing exclusive to Chopard. The Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph watch (reference 168619-3005 as seen here) is priced at $9,350 USD.
Chopard Happy Sport 33mm Watch
The Chopard Happy Sport is a watch collection that always succeeds at bringing a smile to one’s face. With its unique system of playfully floating diamonds — set between two panes of sapphire crystal with extreme precision — it operates with a fun and stunning effect, both visual and audible. The free-spinning gems’ countless facets reflect light in myriads of ways, while the sound their metallic capsules make upon contact adds a barely audible element that is absolutely unique to the Happy Sport.
Crafted from Lucent Steel™, the beautifully crafted 33mm wide case marks notable advancements outside, as well as within. Fitted into this refined and delicate exterior is Chopard’s Caliber 09.01-C, one of just a handful of proprietary, in-house designed and crafted self-winding movements available today. Specially designed to power its smaller, gem-set watches, this 148-part movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback. The Chopard Happy Sport 33mm watch (reference 278608-3010 as seen here) is priced at $8,310 USD.
Chopard Happy Sport 33mm Joaillerie Watch
Continuing its long and established tradition of intricately and lavishly decorating its most popular timepieces, Chopard recently introduced the Happy Sport 33mm Joaillerie watch. A gem-set wonder of the highest possible grade, attained through not only the quality of the craftsmanship — for which Chopard and its haute joaillerie department are world-renowned — but also the seamless color transition of the stones in the bezel and dial.
The creation of every such an exclusive reference begins with the painstaking process of color-matching and color-coordinating the various stones that will embellish it, with the clear mission of achieving the perfect transition from one to the one after, all the way around. Chopard’s designers and craftspeople have taken the extra step to include color-matched sapphire hour markers over the textured mother-of-pearl dial. The 18k white gold case safeguards the Chopard Calibre 09.01-C. The Chopard Happy Sport 33mm Joaillerie watch (seen here as reference 275378-1002) is priced at $68,400 USD.
Chopard Alpine Eagle 33 Frozen Watch
An original Chopard staple, the Alpine Eagle collection was brought back into life in 2019. Since then, it has been expanded upon with a variety of new case sizes, materials, functionalities, and executions, including a number of exceptional renditions such as this high-jewelry Chopard Alpine Eagle 33 Frozen watch. Crafted from 18k white gold, its bezel, lugs, crown guards, and the dial and its bracelet links have all been intricately decorated by Chopard’s expert gem-setters with brilliant-cut and trapeze-cut diamonds of outstanding quality and clarity.
Just like the Happy Sport before it, this model also receives the brand’s in-house Caliber 09.01-C, also on full display via a sapphire crystal caseback. Destined to be the perfect match to the snow-capped mountain tops of the Alps, this special and highly exclusive piece will come to life the moment the crisp winter sun touches it. The price of the Chopard Alpine Eagle 33 Frozen watch (seen here as reference 295384-1003) is available upon request.
Two Highly Exclusive Chopard High-Jewelry Watches
To mark the end of an exceptional 2024, Chopard offers two highly exclusive high-jewelry timepieces from the L’Heure du Diamant collection. The Chopard L’Heure du Diamant 30mm — or “Diamond Hour” — combines an 18k white gold exterior lavishly set with a series of gently rotated pear-cut diamonds, with a briolette-cut diamond on the winding crown being an exquisite finishing touch. The blue goldstone dial, reminiscent of the starry sky, is the perfect match for such a magnificent display of craftsmanship.
The Chopard L’Heure du Diamant reference 134002-9004 is a unique piece that is more a display of the brand’s in-house haute joaillerie know-how than it is of time. Two blued hands nevertheless pass over a mother-of-pearl dial with applied pear-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds, surrounded by an 18k white gold case almost entirely constructed out of an intricate mesh of diamonds and their securing 18k white gold prongs. The price of the Chopard L’Heure du Diamant reference 134002-9004 is available upon request.
From sporty chronographs ready to go the extra mile through extra-thin elegance to Chopard’s unique ways of having fun with diamonds on watches, 2024’s holiday season offers many special Chopard gift ideas. You can learn more at the brand’s website.
