As a thin movement, it is just 3.30mm thick, making the entire watch just 7.13mm thick. The movement is an automatic with a solid gold micro-rotor, and it is of course COSC Chronometer certified in addition to having the Geneva Seal. Oh, and two mainspring barrels give the 96.01-L about 65 hours of power reserve. Thin, automatic, well finished, and accurate… what more could you ask for in a movement that lives in a high-end dress watch?
The L.U.C XPS Geneva Seal watch is 39.50mm wide with a simple yet elegant case – again in solid platinum. It is worth noting that all the new L.U.C XPS watches have the Geneva Seal awarded movement but not all of them are limited editions. This is a sort of “top of the heap model.” Also, brands often pair platinum watches with blue trim. Normal Chopard L.U.C XPS watches go from about $15,000 – $20,000, but this limited edition of 25 pieces platinum model with the fancier movement could be twice that. chopard.com
