Casio’s rugged G-Shock series has long been at the forefront of bringing this translucent case aesthetic to a more affordable price bracket, and for its latest release the Japanese giant has unveiled a trio of women’s watch designs in three stylish translucent colorways. The new Casio G-Shock GMAS110GS series, including the Casio G-Shock GMAS110GS-3A, Casio G-Shock GMAS110GS-8A, and the Casio G-Shock GMAS110SR-7A, combine the G-Shock line’s signature toughness with more compact dimensions and trendy translucent expressions.

While all three models in the Casio G-Shock GMAS110GS series follow the rugged semi-integrated case silhouette of the larger G-Shock GA110 line, these models’ resin cases take on more manageable proportions. All three models measure in at 45.9mm-wide and 15.8mm-thick, which still gives these watches a hefty G-Shock style wrist presence. Of course, the centerpiece of these designs is their use of translucent resin, which lends this familiar shape to three unique new personalities. The G-Shock GMAS110SR-7A is the brightest and most attention-grabbing of the group, with a clear resin case complemented by rose gold-tone accents for its bezel text. By contrast, the G-Shock GMAS110GS-8A is more versatile and less overtly feminine, with a smoky gray translucent resin case and simple black bezel text. For those looking for something more distinctive, the G-Shock GMAS110GS-3A is a playfully colorful choice in green translucent resin with bright white bezel text. All three models offer the G-Shock series’ standard dive-ready 200 meters of water resistance and immense durability.

Casio pairs the translucent cases of the G-Shock GMAS110GS series with high-impact metallic dial finishes. Each of the three models follows the GA110’s distinctive dial plan, with three subdials at 12 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock separated by a raised three-armed dial section. Although the general layout and elements like the chunky wedge indices remain the same, these smaller iterations differentiate themselves with unique touches including positive LCD displays for their subdials and unique “musical scale” minute indices on their ridged chapter rings. Unfortunately, this uniqueness is a double-edged sword, as the short skeletonized sword handset these models use is less legible than the already difficult-to-read GA110. From here, each model diverges with a unique colorway. As with its case, the G-Shock GMAS110SR-7A’s dial is the most immediately striking of the group, with a full rose gold-tone treatment that catches the light dramatically. The G-Shock GMAS110GS-8A’s dial is somewhat more reserved, with yellow gold-tone highlights tempered by dial hardware in silver and white. For the G-Shock GMAS110GS-3A, Casio reverses the GMAS110GS-8A’s dial colorway, swapping the placement of its silver and gold elements for a look that feels unique but maintains a strong family resemblance.

Casio powers all three models in the G-Shock GMAS110GS series with its in-house Module 5425 ana-digi quartz movement. As with the rest of the movements in the G-Shock stable, the Module 5425 pairs its rugged construction with a wide range of complications, including a 1/1000-second split seconds chronograph, a world timer, a 24 hour countdown timer, five programmable daily alarms, a perpetual calendar, and LED dial illumination. Casio rates the accuracy of the Module 5425 at a solid +15/-15 seconds per month, and claims an average battery life of two years. Casio finishes each model in the series with a G-Shock signature accordion-style resin strap in a case-matching translucent colorway.
