Anyone who has even briefly dipped their toes into the secondary watch market knows that buying a watch outside the AD environment has long been mired in uncertainty, cumbersome buying and selling processes, and even fraud. Bezel, one of the leading online watch markets, has already taken a lot of that uncertainty away with an industry-leading authentication process and guarantee, a sleek and intuitive platform, and a full concierge team available to support you along your purchasing journey. Now, along with $700M+ in listings available for purchase plus daily auction drops, Bezel is putting even more power in the hands of buyers on the hunt for the perfect watch with Purchase Requests. This new feature lets you get the watch you want, at the price you want, with virtually no work on your part.

Whether on the app or on the Bezel website — both are easy to use and offer the same great functionality — start by finding the exact watch you want. Bezel has tens of thousands of models to choose from, so finding the precise luxury watch you’ve been dreaming of will never be a problem. Once you’ve found your desired model tap the “Requests” button to get started. If you can’t find the specific model you’re looking for, just reach out to the Bezel Concierge—they’re there to help along the way.

The dream is always a mint condition watch, with box, papers, and accoutrements. Whether you’ll accept no substitutes or have some flexibility, Purchase Requests has you covered. Once you’ve chosen your watch, you’ll select whether you want to limit offers to unworn watches only, or whether you’d be willing to consider pre-owned pieces. Selecting the latter won’t block offers of unworn models, but just tells sellers that you’d be open to a piece that might have been worn before. You can accept or decline any offer that does come your way. Just note, if you’ve chosen to request an unworn watch and the seller meets your price, you will be required to complete checkout.

The final step is setting your price. If you’ve ever chosen to “Make an Offer” on a watch for sale online, you’ve probably fretted about striking the perfect balance of under asking but not so low that it will be ignored or rejected. Bezel takes out the guesswork by providing a recommended price right off the bat, which you can use or modify to your liking. If you’ve got a firm limit, you can stick to it, but if you’ve got some wiggle room, you can factor that in. You get to set the price that’s right for you, and sellers know upfront what you’re willing to pay.

Once you’ve confirmed your Purchase Requests, Bezel will place a hold on your credit card equal to 2.5% of your requested price, which is removed when you accept an offer or after your purchase request expires. Then all you have to do is sit back and wait: every Purchase Request remains active for 7 days or until you accept an offer. Once confirmed, your request immediately goes out to existing and potential sellers. Once a seller agrees to your request, you’ll receive a notification with that seller’s offer; if there’s an offer for a similar watch that may fit the bill (say, the same model on a different band), the Bezel team will get in touch to see if you’re interested. When a response to your request comes through, you’ll be notified and you’ll have the option to accept it or not — it’s up to you.
