1. Introduction to Flipping Watches

Vintage Rolex Submariner

For most hardcore watch enthusiast, flipping watches is more than just a psychological condition, it’s a way of life. For the uninitiated, “flipping watches” refers to the process where someone sells a watch to gain funds for another one, and then repeats this process over and over again to get newer watches in exchange for older ones. Unless you are extremely prudent or lucky, you are not always going to get back what you paid for the watch when you sell it later on. That said, it can be a really fun and exciting hobby, so here are some tips and pointers that may help.

3. Watch Strap Review Part 8. – Introducing: ABP

ABP Straps

I have a confession to make, I’m a struggling strapaholic. In the two years since acquiring my Panerai, I have bought and sold over twenty straps. It goes without saying, then, that not all custom strap makers are fantastic – you really need to go in with your eyes open and do your due research. However, one strapmaker – or atelier, to put it more accurately – that constantly gets praises is ABP – Atelier du Bracelet Parisien. Do a search, and you’ll find that reviews of ABP’s straps are excessively positive and I do hope to get something from them someday. If only I can figure out how to get past their complicated custom strap ordering process!

4. A Day at @XDinoGX’s Place

Dino's Collection

Watch collectors tend to not only collect watches. I know of watch collectors who also collect pop culture collectibles, audio equipment and even coins. However, a watch collector who is also into shoes is a first for me. Here is a glimpse of Dino’s shoe and watch collection. From what I can see, he is obviously obsessed with Louboutins and he also seems to have a weak spot for Royal Oak Offshores and custom Rolexes.

5. The perfect trio, and a KEEPER.

Rolex Submariner TT

One of the things that makes watches fun is the stories that you hear from other collectors with regard to their collection. There are a countless number of watches out there, so why did they pick a particular one above all others? Why a white gold Submariner and not the one in yellow gold? These questions intrigue me. In this post, a collector shares his “perfect trio” of watches. It’s a long post, but a real goody, I assure you.
