On September 9th, 2015, I will be participating in another AMA (ask me anything) session with the /r/Watches Subreddit community on Reddit.com. The last AMA I did with the watch community on Reddit was actually back in 2012 (when this site was still called aBlogtoRead). Years later, it is now time to do another AMA session, as the watch community on Reddit (as well as aBlogtoWatch) has significantly grown.
What happens during an AMA? Well AMA sessions get a lot of press because Reddit regularly holds them with all manners of important people and celebrities. The idea is for an audience base of a particular person to have an opportunity to quite literally ask them anything. This can be about the person themselves, their work, their experiences, or anything else related to Ariel Adams and aBlogtoWatch. I personally take the AMA experience seriously and will dedicate as many hours as it takes to answer everyone as thoroughly as possible, especially considering our own policies of trying to be as transparent as possible in respect to our valued audience.
Even though there are already a lot of aBlogtoWatch audience members who are also part of the Reddit /r/Watches community, I want to encourage those who are not part of that community to join (at least for the AMA, if you have anything you’d like to chat about with me). AMA sessions can even be great as a mere lurker because questions and responses are updated rather quickly, and it can be interesting to see how conversations develop.
Right now, there isn’t a link to the Ariel Adams AMA post section on Reddit, but we will follow up with another post and social media mentions of the AMA around that time (but on the 9th, you don’t need to wait for that to start asking questions). Again, the AMA will be held on September 9th, 2015, and while you can post questions all day (and likely the day before), I will be participating starting in the early afternoon Pacific Standard Time. UPDATE: The Ariel Adams AMA on Reddit is up now.
