Six years ago, Madison Avenue Watch Week was organized as a showcase for the newest and most exceptional timepieces that debut at the Baselworld and at SIHH watch trade shows in Switzerland every year. Today, Madison Avenue Watch Week has become a much-anticipated event for watch collectors and connoisseurs. Within weeks of Baselworld, the most magnificent watches have been shipped to America and will be on view in the participating boutiques for a weeklong series of exhibitions and immersion in the art of watchmaking.

The 6th Annual Madison Avenue Watch Week is scheduled this year from April 13-20. The impressive roster of participating watch brands and retailers includes: A. Lange & Söhne, Asprey, Chopard, de Grisogono, Diesel, Fabergé, F.P. Journe, Frey Wille, Hublot, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, and Vacheron Constantin. These premier watch brands are welcoming enthusiasts and collectors with special events and offerings during business hours in the participating Madison Avenue stores located between 57th and 86th Streets – the longest stretch of luxury retail in America with the deepest concentration of watch brands.

Highlights of the weeklong festivities include by-appointment-only viewings of the new timepiece collections at Vacheron Constantin, a Collector’s Dinner will be held at A. Lange & Söhne by requested invitation, as well as a public novelty exhibition with beer and pretzels during store hours. Hublot will host a cocktail party with author/editor Aaron Sigmond to salute his book, Drive Time: Watches inspired by Automobiles, Motorcycles and Racing. There will be time to learn as well. Jaeger-LeCoultre offers a series of watchmaking classes.

Champagne will flow in celebration of Chopard’s new timepieces shipped expressly for the occasion from Geneva. F.P. Journe will honor the 25th anniversary of their first tourbillon with a Tourbillon Retrospective Exhibition. Asprey has partnered with Bovet for an exclusive launch over cocktails. Fabergé will showcase, direct from Baselworld, the Grand Prix-winning Lady Compliquée Peacock and the men’s Visionnaire Flying Tourbillon Watch.
