Following the successful release of our first Di Renzo watch, we are now excited to bring you our second timepiece: the limited edition Di Renzo DRZ_02. This watch is the product of many months of experimentation in order to create a unique and innovative piece whose aesthetics connect with both the past and the future. This is why the term “retro-futuristic” perhaps best describes the style of this timepiece.

The dial is, without a doubt, the piece’s most singular feature, with its outstanding, elegant, and symmetrical design. The beauty of this element is particularly appreciable when seen shining in the dark. The dial has a “sandwich” like construction, with two layers, the upper of which is molded into a bowl shape – a particularly complex element in terms of the watch’s manufacture. This shape has enabled us to generate seamless continuity between the dial and the case.

The “bowl” shape and double-layer construction together produce a much deeper dial, as opposed to the more standard flat dial seen on most watches.

Inspired by the extravagant and futuristic curves of the Bugattis from the 1930s, the case is designed with a marked sports style while sacrificing nothing of the brand’s elegant spirit. The elliptical elevation is the case’s most outstanding feature, accentuating its edges with polished fillets and generating shadow thanks to its counter curve at the transversal section. The architecture of the case and bezel is designed around the automatic mechanism with the aim of attaining the right proportions (11mm including the sapphire crystal). The crown engraved with the logo is perfectly centred on the asymmetrical ellipse.

The watch measures 41mm without the crown and 48mm lug to lug. There are two options available, either in brushed stainless steel or a black gun PVD version. It’s available in four different colors and includes the option of featuring the date (positioned at 6 o’clock) or not:

The automatic movement chosen for this watch is the Swiss Sellita SW-200, a high quality and accurate mechanism for three hands with 38 hours of power reserve and a 28,800 A/h (4Hz) frequency. Aside from the assembly and quality control undertaken in our Swiss atelier, each watch is inspected personally by me before being dispatched with the aim of carrying out a final check of the movement’s precision and ensuring that the choice of model and strap is the right one.
